Ad Platforms - Other options to place ads
As primaries perpetually approach in the shadows of the general election — and your campaign is looking for other options for placement of political ads — innovation is always going to be a big part of winning. So, that means thinking outside of the box when it comes to advertising, and recognizing that you’ll need to innovate in order to meet voters where they are at… especially when targeting voters in the 18-30 demographic.
That might mean looking for some different, alternative markets. It may take a little more time, but if you’re the only one in that space, you’ve got the market cornered.
Consider websites like Reddit: with a dedicated, almost evangelistic, user base, you’ll reach a lot of influential “cord cutters” there. Check out their advertising portal at https://www.redditinc.com/advertising.
Other things to consider are partnering with influencers (celebrity or otherwise), non-video content based apps (like online gaming), or transportation apps (like Waze).
If you’re still looking for other options for political ads, don’t be afraid of audio-only advertising, either (good luck finding a Gen Z or Millennial young adult who’s NOT wearing headphones). Pandora, iHeart Radio or Podcasts are a great way to reach these generations who consume content via multiple platforms, sometimes at the same time, every day. Write a short conversational script, have one of our talented voiceover artists read it, and you’ll have a winning recipe for bringing your message to the masses.
If there’s anything we can do to help you create creative advertising opportunities for your candidate, campaign or organization, just ask! We’re here to make sure you are successful, and that Democrat and progressive candidates win their elections and re-elections. And if that means trying something different beyond the traditional image ads and attack ads, let us know. We’re excited about innovating and collaborating with you!
